It was a memorable outing for Gamepoint Nizampet, as the team emerged champions of the 13th Jaya Rao Memorial Football Tournament in Hyderabad.
The final against ProKicks was a closely contested game, with both sides fighting hard for the title. The breakthrough came when Ganesh found the net after a perfectly timed through pass from Balachandra, giving Gamepoint the all-important lead. The team then defended well to close out the match 1–0 and lift the trophy.
Saharsh Shines with Best Goalkeeper Award
There was more to celebrate for Gamepoint as Saharsh was named the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament. His performance between the posts was a key part of the team’s campaign, and keeping a clean sheet in the final made the achievement even more special.
Individual awards were also presented to other standout performers, including K. Arush of ProKicks (Best Defender), B.V. Nisit Sai (Best Midfielder), Roshan of St. Patrick’s (Best Striker) and Ronith of Tony FC (Best Player of the Tournament).
